trust = real simple love

Those who TRUST in God are like Zion Mountain: Nothing can move it, a rock-solid mountain you can always depend on.
PSALMS 125:1

I have been wondering lately why God is so determined to teach me to trust! It seems like that has been the theme of my life for almost 9 months now. Then I read this verse, a verse I have read and sang about many times...and it hit me. Those who trust in God, are like Rock Solid Mountains, or Foundations, that CAN NOT BE MOVED!!!

So, maybe the purpose in trusting God is so that we can become something people can always depend on as being rock-solid. In every area of life, Spiritually, Physically, Relationally, Financially, Emmotionally. Is that the picture of a perfect bride. Something that can never be moved, and can always be depended on. But I can't help but notice, it seems we have become the total opposite of that as a bride of Christ.

Its not about us...its not about how flashy and exciting we can make God look to the world, it is about how SOLID we can be to the World. Its about the Body of Christ coming TOGETHER to form a rock-solid Mountain, that cannot be shaken, and that the world can look to and depend on. A Mountain the the lost and dying can run to and not be judged, but comforted by our inviting foundation.

The Christian life is not about bringing division between those who belief and those who do not. We may not be of the world, but we are in it...and believe it or not God put us here for a purpose. And that purpose is to LOVE GOD with all your heart, and LOVE your neighbor as yourself!

It's REAL SIMPLE LOVE!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race!

You're blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You're blessed when you follow His directions, doing your best to find Him. That's right - you don't go off on your own; you walk straight along the road He set. You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I'd never have any regrets in comparing life with your counsel. I thank You for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of Your righteous ways. I'm going to do what You tell me to do; don't ever walk off and leave me.

PSALMS 119

Exactly where I am at right now, and this is my prayer, Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I'd never have any regrets in comparing life with your counsel! The hardest part in our walk with God is walking at a consistent pace. It is when we start to run ahead of God, or just stop dead in our tracks that we find it hard to hear God's voice. That is when we feel the most alone because God is consistent, and He is willing to walk down this path with you. The question is, will you stay on course, will you walk WITH God, and not ahead or behind Him. Maybe the reason He wants to walk WITH us is because He wants to talk to us, He wants to have a relationship with us. It's hard to talk to someone who is running all the time, or someone who keeps tripping over those stupid rocks.

Set your gaze on Him, and He will direct your path. He will give you the endurance it takes to walk a steady walk. One that doesn't get tripped up, or unfocused. We tend to focus on not falling down that we forget speeding up and getting ahead of God is just the same.

You're BLESSED when you stay on course, walking STEADILY on the road revealed by God.

the wait

We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
